Implant augmentation
If there is enough skin left,
an implant is inserted under the breast muscle to reconstruct the breast.
Relatively simple methods, such as regular breast augmentation,
can improve breast volume and form.
If there is not enough skin tissue left,
the breast tissue is stretched through a 'tissue expander' using saline solution before inserting the implant, and then the implant is inserted.
